ACCOMPANYING THE RECORD DEVELOPMENT OF THE EMBRAER 190-E2

THE ARMS POSITIONED AT EACH SIDE OF THE DOOR IMPROVE ITS SECURE POSITIONING TO THE FUSELAGE.

The Embraer 190-E2 made its first flight after less than 3 years since its launch.

The door OWE, developed for Embraer 190-E2, replaces the “disposable hatch” model, which is currently on airplanes.  In the case of an emergency opening, this particularly innovative door remains anchored to the fuselage – the improvement in security is evident (photo 2).

Another Latecoere innovation:  bringing together all door functions onto the upper portion of the door, plus the addition of the safety device to prohibit its opening (photo 3).

Parallel to the design phase, the Latecoere teams anticipated, with Embraer, the future ramp-up imposed by the series.

It’s not by accident that Latecoere is the (independent) world leading door manufacturer, it’s installations allow to adjust the products in rigorous conditions, identical to those of the airplane’s fuselage (photo 5).
