On Wednesday, 1st March, 2017, excitement was building up inside Latecoere Group’s Hermosillo site. Airbus management wanted to address the teams…
As a preamble, Gilles Morelot, Head of Electrics Procurement Airbus, said this event meant even more than celebrating the 150th harness : “Both Latecoere Group and Airbus histories are closely linked. Each time we have launched a new program, the Interconnection Systems branch has been selected to cable the plane. For us, Latecoere Group is a strategic partner mastering aerospace cabling, from conception to production.”
On behalf of Airbus, Gilles Morelot wished to thank Hermosillo’s teams for the high-quality of their products and their observance of deadlines, calling it a “fantastic work”. He underlined the importance of efforts, each day, to maintain this level of excellence.
Know-how
Responding to these words, Yannick Assouad, CEO of Latecoere Group, highlighted the collaboration with an historic day: “In 1998, LATelec was created thanks to Airbus’ help and its orders. Today, this branch has become the 2nd biggest provider of interconnection systems and the number one company in avionics racks. Airbus’ trust and volume of business are what made this achievement possible.”
