Accompanying Boeing in its capacity to quickly deliver increasingly efficient aircraft – This is the Latecoere teams’ ambition.

The partnership with Boeing is long-term, but new improvement opportunities present themselves each day.  Once the ‘pre’ rigging was completed in-factory, the final adjustments to the aircraft were simplified to facilitate the installation of the doors in the assembly line.  A true advantage for Boeing who is facing historical manufacturing demands.

The automation optimizes the quality and ensures notable increases in productivity (Photo 1).  However, once in its framework, the door is placed into expert hands, which manipulate the mechanical precision parts (photo 2).  Safety, reliability, and lightweight sturdiness are all part of the requirements which remain at the heart of the preoccupations of the Boeing/Latecoere duo.

The external panel, like most of the primary structure, is made of composite materials (photo 3).  The array of know-how and skills in the company were all combined here – from the design to the manufacturing phases.  Aesthetically?  Like the aerodynamics, the aesthetics is given particular care by all of the Latecoere teams.  Above and beyond zero flaws, they strive for a quality and concern for detail which is exceptional.

The details create perfection, and perfection is not just a detail
