Latecoere’s Interconnection Systems division has been selected by the flight-testing division of the French General Directorate of Armament (DGA-EV), located in the French southwestern city of Cazaux, to develop and manufacture a ground test bench for Fokker 100 aircraft (New Generation Aircraft Test Bench) and its associated maintenance in operational condition.
Latecoere has been contracted for this new design & build project, which is scheduled for delivery at the end of 2019. The group CS Communication & Systèmes, based in Toulouse, will assist Latecoere in the conception and deployment of the simulation software. Representative of the Fokker 100 Flight Test Facilities, currently operated by the DGA-EV, this ground test bench is intended to help develop test specimens, test facilities and associated measurements.
This collaboration with the DGA-EV is an important step in the development of the Systems Test Bench business of the group. This contract echoes several projects for which Latecoere has been selected at the end of 2018:
– ArianeGroup (Les Mureaux, France) for the development and production of specific test tools,
– Industrial Workshops of Aeronautics (Cuers-Pierrefeu, France) for the design and the supply of a test cabinet for the evolution of the avionics and tactical systems of the French Navy,
– Bombardier (Mirabel, Canada and Mobile, US-Alabama) for the development and production of test tools for FAL A220/Cseries.
Latecoere also holds the contract for the test bench maintenance at the Airbus Toulouse site and the contract for the development, integration and maintenance of test benches for Airbus Helicopters.
